sun tunnel

Has anyone had a sun tunnel(s) installed in an existing home. We are wanting to bring more natural light into a portion of our main level family room (Ranch home). Is this expensive? What brands to look at?

I'm not much use on price or even brand names to look at, but I have seen a couple of them installed and they really are effective at bringing in natural light.

Price points were higher then I thought they would be. They ran about $349.00 for a tube that would fit in a 14" truss bay. Customer decided on a traditional operating skylight for $100.00 less.

Understandable. They're novel and most people haven't seen them, so I think people kinda like having them for that reason.

I recently saw one in a house belonging to an owner who was trying to be very "green". Hard to be truly green in a 4000 square foot house in my opinion.
