sump pump drain system installations

I recently had a system installed and I'm about to drywall, which means I have to frame first with studs. The drain installer told me that I would have to glue my footer board to the concrete because I would ruin the integrity of the drain system if I nailed through the concrete... Has anyone heard of gluing your footers without nailing them? Is this common?

last I heard, water doesn't flow up. I don't see how it'd be an issue.

Are the tiles that run to the sump that shallow?
