Stuck

Installed a ceiling exhaust fan in a downstairs basement and since one job always leads to another now I'm trying to get rid of some ugly wallpaper in the same room. It is an old house and the layers are as follows, green board, oil base paint, wallpaper then another layer of wall paper then another layer of paint. It is a mess trying to scrape things and nearly impossible to get down to the original green board. Can I just mud over everything, tecture and repaint? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Woody

Just because a job starts doesn't mean it will end...........

Stuck

Are you looking to do as little as possible in the way resurfacing? Or are you willing to just put something over what is there now?
