Solar Tube lighting

I just had a quick question for this community on solar tubes. My hallway is dark most of the time, and a couple Solar Tubes with the light kit would really spruce it up. My question is do solar tubes also bring in the heat, or is that reflected at the roof mount?

Solar Tube lighting

You will get heat gain, but not as much as with a skylight. If you can install it so it's on the north side of the house or under some stippled shade it will minimize the gain.

Possibly less than half the BTU/hr output of a person, while the sun is shining.
