Solar Tube lighting

DAdams982 Member   Join Date: Jul 2010 Posts: 82	Solar Tube lighting I just had a quick question for this community on solar tubes. My hallway is dark most of the time, and a couple Solar Tubes with the light kit would really spruce it up. My question is do solar tubes also bring in the heat, or is that reflected at the roof mount?

Ron6519 Member   Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Long Island, NY Posts: 9,519	Solar Tube lighting You will get heat gain, but not as much as with a skylight. If you can install it so it's on the north side of the house or under some stippled shade it will minimize the gain. Ron
