R&D tile thanks for answer. When you say not a great idea are talking about making a hole in the roof?

shower wall-please I need advice

I finished my bathroom about a month ago. I put new subfloor, wall tile, toilet and tub. I want to thank Atlantic , Red line, J187 and all people that post their experiences in this chat. It helped me a lot. ( As a proof that you guys didnít waste your time answering concerns about my project here is a picture of my bathroom)

Nice work, Ferkla, I knew it would turn out fine if I just stayed out of it!!

What did you do with the vent? My choice would be through the roof.

Outstanding job. Now just go to JC penny's they have some really nice shower curtains there and get one which will complient your fine work. Thats where i got my shower curtain at. You want the two layer kind. Sharp looking on outside to add flair to bath but another shower curtain on inside for water. Also get some of the nice shower curtain hangers they have there for additional style. Would recomend not going with glass sliding doors there a SOB to keep looking nice

What size notched trowel do I use for 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 tiles?
I have already done my first row with one that's a small zig-zag (pionts) pattern. Iy says on the trowel that it's for 6" tile and smaller. Everything I read here says 1/4 x 1/4 which denotes a larger square notch. Am I using the wrong trowel?
