Seeing peninsula from hallway- will this is odd?

I have an L shape house. My living, dining and kitchen are all open area almost a rectangular shape. I am putting a peninsula in my kitchen.Actually part of the peninsula will be in the dining room.area. It will extend from the wall 56 inches and the width will be 32 inches with a 6 inch overhang. When I walk down the hallway, I will see the peninsula , and stools about 15 inches into the dining room.

If you think it's odd, change the design. It's hard to visualize without plans.
