Can silicon sealer be used over grout on marble?

I'd use a grout sealer compatible with the marble. This way you can seal both at the same time.

It's ok if you get some sealer on the tile surface providing the tile is glazed,
And where would a person find "glazed" marble tile?

.

janeann,

Use a penetrating sealer made for marble tile. The grout sealing will take care of itself.

Silicone, acrylic, and water-based sealers will screw up the polished surface of your tile in a lot of cases.
