Rumbling Bathroom Fan

Most likely you replaced the entire unit and in doing so may have tightened the screws securing the unit too tight. This allows any vibration to transfer to the wood rafter and vibration carries along the rafter. I've done this! Try loosening the screws just a little, maybe 1/4 turn so that the fan box sort of "hangs" on the screws rather than be secured too tightly. I've even had to place thin rubber gasket material between the fan box and rafters to stop this. David
