Retile shower ceiling

My home is a colonial and the shower is against the ceiling where it is slanted slightly so the ceiling of the shower is tiled. Any recommendations for tiling a ceiling? Do I need to worry about the tiles falling after placing them in thinset?

i have never done a ceiling . but i have walls and floors. removing a tile right after setting it, can be a task, i had to use a screwdriver to pry it up. so i don't see them falling off, if done correctly.

In that Circumstance, you may have to worry more about the tile creeping down.

Done right, they will stay put---however, sliding can be an issue ( as stated above) little finishing nails might be needed to pin the tiles down ,if spacers don't do the trick.

i read some where that you should back butter the tile, and then do a circle from the center of the title to the edge, so that when you push the tile against the ceiling it makes a slight vacuum.
