Replace std. oven/range with one without cooktop?

Hey all,

We're trying to plan out our kitchen remodel. Presentely, we have a standard oven/range. So oven below with cooktop, all in one unit.

Above this is a void for cooking space, then a microwave with exhaust vent under it. Standard set up.

We want to put a new cooktop (no stove) out in the island. So we need to figure out what to do with the current oven/range.

Is there a product like just a single oven? So like what we have now, but no cooktop?

And secondly, we have granite - rather than trying to fill the space vacated by the previous stove/cooktop - I thought we'd get perhaps butcher board or something different for there. This is because the microwave would remain above it (and that void below it previously used for cooking space). So I figured it would look strange if the granite went across - with the butcher block materal across, it would then become perhaps a "cutting station", complete with the space below the micro...

Is this a crazy idea, or has it been done?

Do a search for "Wall oven". Or go to your local appliance store.

It's your kitchen. You can design it the way you want it. If the area is near the sink, a butcher station can be appropriate.
