Question

replace 2x6 jams around garage

I want to replace the 3 pieces of 2x6 jams around my garage. The 2 side pieces look easy to pull out but I'm wondering about the top 2x6 jam attached to the bottom header. Is that ok to replace with concerns of the header coming down? The jams are rotted..
TIA,
Tom

Yes, its ok to remove that but you may want to use a reciprocating saw with a metal blade to cut through the nails...lots easier than prying.

Don't forget to replace the head flashing, if rusted through....

Be safe, Gary
