Removing Window, need Suggestions to eliminate eyesore!!
 

I am remodeling a room in the second story of an older farmhouse. The remodel plan includes the removal of the window in the photo.

I will eventually be residing the complete house, but it could be a couple years. I am looking for suggestions on how to make it look somewhat attractive while in the waiting period.

In other words i just don't want to put a piece of plywood over it

Any ideas out there please.

What's on there for siding now?
I'd just remove the siding to below the window and side right over it.

The siding on there is aluminum its about 6 inches It was installed in the mid to late 1970s with a wood grain design. I am not having much luck finding siding that matches..

Tryed any real siding supplys, not box stores?

who cares if it "matches". just get the same size and color. your just going to replace it anyway. don't fret over it. i would be more concerned about it sealing properly.

You could put some wood around the windows.Than you might not have to take the siding off just take a saw and cut it.
