Hello, I am redoing my bathroom and one of the things we are dong is removing a window currently in our shower- replacing the tub and tile surround with a sterling Accord shower tub 4 piece unit. My question is what is the proper procedure in patching up the window. I have my ideas but would love some sound advice on this. Thanks for the help!
You would frame it and sheath it on the exterior. You would then side the exterior with a matching material. Insulate the wall and install an interior wall covering that's appropriate to the wet area.
Don't forget the exterior tarpaper or tyvek and the interior vapor barrier.
