Removing a drywall ceiling

I have a dry wall ceiling that may have some hidden cables; what is the safest and most efficient way to remove this dry wall?

Dust mask, gloves, eye protection, and a wonder bar. Start a hole and pull. If it is under an attic, it will be MESSY(insulation). Don't go sawing if there may be wires.

But why pull it down, is there a problem with the drywall??? Drywall dings, holes are easy to patch.

I like to use a Sazsall with a modified blade. Break the blade so only a half inch or so of stroke is made. You can cut right over studs and joists and not cut through to wires and cables behind.

Bring it down is good sized pieces to minimize the handling and trips to the dumpster.
