Removing adhesive from under old vanity top
I'm redoing a bathroom. The plan is to keep the vanity base, but replace the top (circa 1970's) with a granite top and new fixtures. Some type of construction adhesive was used to install the old top on the vanity base. I've tried scraping it off; even tried a chisel, but that is gouging the wood this adhesive is sitting on.
What is the best way to get this adhesive off in preparation for the new granite top?
And any other preparation I need to do for the new top?
an angle grinder with a flap wheel will take that off "lickety split" . but it will make a bit of a mess.
