Remove Door Frame

Getting a closet insert custom built and am in the process of removing existing door frame. The carpenter needs the header, top plate and a portion of the wall removed and backed up basically to the king studs. I've exposed everything I need to, but one of jack studs and top plate is partly recessed into the sheet rock. Any tips for getting these out cleanly?
