Remodeling a bathroom.

I am remodeling an older bathroom and would to take out the current stand up shower and put in a bathtub/shower. The existing water lines are in the wall the needs to be removed. What is the best option. Move the water lines or move the drain pipe over4 to 5 feet to put the new tub on the other side of the wall. Which option would also be the least expensive?

Moving the water lines is the easiest most times. The drain will have to be tweaked a little, but moving it several feet often can be difficult to navigate through the framing.
