Rebuilding fireplace mantel

BOB ELLIOTT Newbie   Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 1	Rebuilding fireplace mantel I am planning to remodel my fireplace mantel with new wood and cornish mouldings. I can't find any books that show what and how to do it so it will look professional. Can anyone help? Thanks bob

Often those are built up with layers of flat stock with a cove, bead, and/or crown thrown in at the end. There can be as many variations as imagination will allow, so I doubt any book will cover it all, just the basics.
