quick touch-ups?

Hey everyone! We are just beginning to think about how we are going redo our bathroom and kitchen. While we are thinking about major changes we want to do, I also want to get started on some quick projects that I can do now. Does anyone have any suggestions of small projects that can help a kitchen or bathroom?? I would love to do something that I can complete on a Saturday (and that someone with limited skills can do!!) Thanks for your help!

Another easy DIY project that can change the look of a room is to change your knobs/pulls.
Two things to keep in mind though, If your hinges are visible get ones that won't clash. Also, if you have pulls with two holes, its a lot easier if your new pulls will fit the old holes.

If you're going to tear it out, don't waste your energy today on little projects. Been there, done that. Use your time to plan out, in detail, what you want to do, and then do it.

About the only exception is if you have items, like cabinets or furniture, that you will use that need to be refinished. But it's only not a waste of time if you're definitely going to use them, which gets back to the first point -- plans. Or putting in a new toilet that you will use in the future.

Or maybe if it's going to be more than a few years before you get around to it.
