I have one of those OLD bungalow long and narrow houses built in 30-34's era with wood porch all along front of house except for 2 ' on each side. Had house covered in siding and soffits and now the ugly 2X10 bannister railing around three sides of the porch is first thing you see. It has chipped and peeled in the past,,,and repainted ,,,maybe 20-30 coats. Siding guy said he has NO luck in trying to cover this 10" flat surface. Alluminum dents and vinyl, gets beat. The corners also have 3 piers each that supports upper porch roof. Lifting roof to get margin to replace with___ ,might be possible??? Do they make that white plastic lumber in 2X 10 look alike??? Presently seems to be solid BUT it is that old!!
Other thing is the walk way,,,right down middle of this wood floor is weathered some too,,,is there something you can cover JUST that 3-4' walkway(to the front door) with ,,,non-slip that would enhance its look???
