I joined this forum as a result of looking for information on installing allure vinyl planking. Any tips from people who have had this experience would be great. I will be installing this next weekend (Feb 6/7).
Hi, I also found this site by looking up comments and info about allure vinyl flooring. Last mth I installed the light oak in my daughter's inlaw suite which included the foyer, bathroom and galley kitchen, over concrete basement floors. we love the look and low maintenance! No vinyl smell noticed or flawed indentation that others have mentioned. Four days after the installation( which was done by a friend who does carpentry) the toilet overflowed while no one was home. I found the apt flooded and went to work draining it with the wet /dry vac dreading the possible damage and pop ups that vinyl flooring is prone to! Its a few weeks later and the floor is still perfect looking! No flaws noticed and believe me i've been checking. Hopeing our luck with this product holds out I have ordered the teak for my kitchen and living room areas as to not have to pull up the old flooring. My order is due in next wknd too. good Luck with your project!!
