New kitchen remodel

Thank you. All the supplies were purchased locally. Cabinets were done custom here in town where I live, Floors and granite also done by local Co. our total cost was 58K. It was alot, but for us to move and get this kind of kitchen we could not have afforded the house.... The size of your project is everything, if I had a 10 x 10 kitchen, I probably could have done it for 30k, but my kitchen is 30 x 14. I really splurged on every thing. The Granite is tear 3, the cabinets being inset doors was about 20 % more in cost. The pendent lights hanging down over the island were 160 ea. and the quality of the lights is amazing. I don't regret for a min what we spent . We got exactly what we wanted and by me being the GC i saved about 15 k. I had a quote from a Kitchen design firm at 120k to build what I wanted... I might not have built it but designing it my self and overseeing the project was enough work for me.

Love your apron sink. Question though on your drop lights. They look like they were intended to be over the island a little more. Are they too low or is it an optical illusion? It almost looks like a tall person would bump his/her head on them.

Not a criticism, just wondering if it is the angle of the picture.
