Need Help on new Bathroom Cabinet Fix for Reno

Hello, I need to know if I am not worng and what can be done regarding a bathroom reno that I am getting done by a bathroom remodelling company. The workman ship has been good thus far, but the consultant I think made a mistake when he order the base cabaniets, the whenthey tried installing them, I indicated they were too deep 22" without the handles and countertop. The original cabinets were 21" frameless fitted nicely, as one cabinet. The new cabinets are framed and for me are too deep, see attached picture. They are also 3 individuals cabinets(12"+24"+12"). I asked for them to order 18" deep cabinets, the compnay they are using is Merillat, the contrator came back and indicated that they do not make 18" deep in the style we are using. I do not believe them, I feel they are snowing me. Other options was to remove the drywall and recess the cabinet in or the shrink my doorway and install a smaller door. Which I has said no to.

My question are:
Are the cabinets too deep? I am affraid people will bump into the handles and or the counter top, and make the bathroom look even smaller.

If the manufacturer does not have 18" cabinets, can the canbinets be

If you have it in writing that you wanted 18", then they should give you 18".

Looks like poop, second person in a week asking this same question.
Smaller door, differant cabinets, is the only way to go.

I'd cut the cabinet down in order to keep the job on schedule---however not many bathroom remodelers have the tools or skills for modifying a cabinet---

The carcass looks like particle board. Not likely to modify well.

21-in depth is somewhat standard for bathrooms, although 18-in isn't unheard of. If you went with Merillat's "Essentials" line then yeah, not much selection there in 18-in. You have more choices in their higher-end products.

If they have a good cabinetry carpenter on staff or accessible, I would chop the cabinet as mentioned above.

I just wanted to give an update.

They have ordered new base cabinets, 18", from a different supplier, since they indicated they cannot cut it down.
