Moving a bathroom mirror

Recently I've renovated my bathroom with a new sink & cabinet. However, the new cabinet is taller than the one I have had in the past so I am forced to move the mirror higher. The problem with this is that I can't find studs in the wall to insert the mirror holders now, does anyone know of a practical way around this ?

You don't need studs. You can use a toggle bolt to do the same job. You can also use a channel on the bottom to rest the mirror in and use the holders on the top.

if you dont want to see the clips at the top you can use Mirror mastic. It comes in a can and in tubes for a caulking gun. The U or L channel at the bottom of the glass and mastic will hold the mirror. You can install the mastic in raquet ball sized blobs and then press the mirror into it.
