Move a wall

I have a problem with this wall angleing too far into my kitchen.
When it was built they did not leave enough room for a side by side fridge.
Its 3-4 inches to narrow. I want to move the wall out to be in a straight line with the hallway.
It will leave enough room for a small broom closet next to the fridge.
Behind this angled wall, there is the master bedroom closet and the kitchen. The wall would stop at the end of the broom closet. See photos.
Any suggestions on how to procede?

There appears to be more to this than meets the eye.

The ventilation duct is the first clue. Better figure out whether that can be messed with.

the vent is a return air duct. I think I can just box frame it to extend out the few inches to the new wall.

The first thing i would do is take off that cold air vent and see whats behind there for the framing looks like a bigger job than you think it's going to be.I would maybe extend that wall just far enough so the fridge would fit

Like the others have said, do a bit more investigating. I would take a peek in the hole where the grill cover is to start. I am just wondering why the builder put the angle in to start with. Sometimes when there is a little extra space, the plumbers and electricians feel they have to mark their territory by running something through it.
If there is nothing inside, it shouldn't be a problem. That being said however, I would have someone with experience come by and look at it. Don't rely on us here totally and start ripping your house apart. Get a second, in-person opinion.
