mesh tape with redgaurd
I'm a little confused on this. I just put up densshield for my shower walls and am going to use redgaurd on the seems and screws. On the seems do I use mesh and thinset and then redgaurd or do I use redgaurd with the mesh tape? I'm thinking I need to use thinset with the mesh and then redgaurd over it but not positive after reading the instructions. Thanks for your help.

Looks like mesh and thinset - then Redgard over that and any break in the surface of the board.

Ditto.. use mesh with thinset first. The redgard is only for waterproofing.

Thanks for your advice and that link. So I've read mixed opinions on densshield. Besides using kerdi or fully water proofing the cbu is there something better than densshield? I will be waterproofing the seems and screws so from what I know I would say this shower will be water proofed. Thanks for your help
