Large gap between granite splashboard & tile

We had a granite counter top installed with granite splahboards. To install the splashboards, a row of existing existing ceramic tile had to be removed. The results has a gap, about 3/16 to 4/16 of an inch. Does anyone have an idea of how or what to fill in the gap to have a nice look?

A suggestion from the one ofthe installers was to use grout and color it to match the color of the ceramic tile. The tile is a pale blue. The granite is pink/gray/black, I believe it is called Tropical Juparana.

I would use grout or some good caulking. Don't get the 1.99 pack of 4 from walmart. Go to a tile or countertop specialty store and get the good stuff.
