laminate flooring over a slab

What is the best sub flooring to use on a slab? I have friend that swear by plywood for insulation.

just throw some of this down and call it a day. http://www.aquastep.be/en/aqua-step-collection-wood/ if you do go with a subfloor i say use dricore, some on here will say not to use osb on concrete but it is roughly an inch off the ground and if iys getting wet then you have major problems and will have to be removed anyways

Has a moisture test been done on the floor?
If the floor is dry and you can stand the room to have it raised I've used 3/4 blue foam tape the seams the go over that with 3/4" T & G Advantec Tap Coned to the slab. Then you can install all most any floor you want.
I would not use lamnite right over a slab, use endineered flooring instead.
It can be installed just like a flaoting floor by gluing the seams but is far more stable the laminite.

dont want to hijack this thread but how do you test the moisture content of a slab? theres always moisture in the concrete and if you put a moisture meter on it the meter will read high.
