Laminate Flooring for Bathroom Vanities

Although i am aware of the risks, I plan on chancing it by using the tons of leftover scraps of laminate flooring planks we have to cover the old white laminate vanity tops. I plan to liquid-nails them to the existing countertop and to seal with silicone around the drop in sink.

Does anyone know if it would be harmful to the product to use a sealer, such as Waterlox?

Also, I am looking for ideas as far as an edge goes, because the laminate looks like plywood on the edges, and the existing tops are about an inch thick.

Total waste of time and effort.
Laminate gets wet and it's trash.
It should not be glued down because it has to expand and contract or it's going to buckle.
Sealer will be useless, the top surface is super hard and not porous so the sealer will just float on top of it, and scratch right off, the seams will just crack as it expands and contracts.
I've replaced many a kitchen and bathroom floor because of a single water event I can just imagine how fast it's going to go bad when it's right next to the source of water.
Just buy a new faux marble top that will work.
