After replacing our oven, fridge, and dishwasher, all of which needed to go, my wife and I are looking to improve the look/layout of our kitchen. It was renovated by a previous owner in the mid 90s and we really like the cabinets.
Full Disclosure: We went with a larger fridge. The prev owner remodeled around a very small unit and we really wanted to get a bigger one in the space. We got it in. But it's not opening all of the way in the space. So we are going to have move some things.
general layout. esp. on the sink/oven side.
On the to do list
shift cabinet above opening so fridge will fit

Don't blame you for wanting to keep the cabinets. Nice. I also like your fridge (Looks like the one we just bought. LOL)
Are you going to keep the pass-through?
Based what I can see in the pic, I would be tempted to just drywall it over rather than have the cabinet off center above it. Or lose the cabinet above it and open it waaaay up.
Do you use it much?
