I am remodeling my bathroom with a new alcove tub. The short wall of the tub will be on an outside wall that currently has batt faced insulation. I will be using Kerdi over Durock on the three tub surround walls.
Is it necessary to change insulation to un-faced or cut slits in the faced insulation on this exterior wall.
I am concerned about creating a moisture sandwich between the kerdi and the faced insulation.
I am located in Southern NY by New York City.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you...
