insulating around pot lights
 

We are finishing the ceiling in our basement where pot lights have been place for a while. They are the IC type that you are suppose to be able to insulate around. Is it ok to put insulation above them in the space below the hardwood floors above? There is only about 3 inches between the top of the lights and the floor.

IC means direct contact with insulation is OK, nuff said.
