Installing crown molding after cabinets hung

yes I messed up!.... My cabinets are up and now I have 5" between top of cabinets and ceiling. I have to somehow get a nailer installed on top to nail the next piece of molding into but cannot get a nail gun, screw gun up there to install the piece- Any suggestions?

Are you doing it from the cabinet interior. Just clamp it in place, pre-drill and screw the blocking in. And, you don't install crown on the cabinets and then hang them, so you did it correctly. Just didn't think the whole process through.

You can most always use a little glue...but it probably isn't necessary for this. Jay has a solution.

Also, if you'd prefer not to make holes in the top stiles, you can get a right angle drill attachment, (Milwaukee makes one) that will allow you to do this.
