Would like any ideas for a temporary half wall or partition to keep cats separated from remainder of house. Cats are older and most likely would not climb/jump higher than 4 ft. Need to do this in between a dining room and florida room. The florida room is an add on so the opening was made from the original exterior block wall and is a 4" drop from the dining room. The floor of both rooms is tile. Would need a half door/gate also attached.
My thoughts are a regular built half wall, 2 x 4's with sheetrock and a post (at the gate/half wall connection) from the floor to the top of the entry for support and with a gate. Trying to minimize attachments to both sides and top and eliminate any attachments to the tile. Any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks!
