How to replace your clothes line

My wife and I moved in to a new house.... Together .... And while hanging laundry she found the exterior covering over the metal line to be cracked and missing.

Therefore my ears were ringing to fix it. So this is what I did...

First, I measured the distance between the two hanging poles, trees, etc and times it by two. Then you know how much new line you'll need to buy. I then bought the new line.

Then I cut the old line and removed it from the tensioner. Only remove the line from one of the wheels (pulley) that support the line in the air

I then put up a new hanger end that allows someone to move the line up and down for easy hanging and removal of clothes. Un bolt the top two bolts

Then installed the new adjustable hanger and used the original bolts

Then I taped the new line to the old line that was still around the wheel (pulley) at one end

Then I pulled the old through until the new line came back to me. I ran the new line around the 2nd wheel until I had both new ends together. You'll probably have to cut the new line as it'll be longer then what you need...measure twice cut once

Once I had the new lines together I connected them into the original tensioner and turned the tensioner to spec (eye balled it lol)

Then it was all done

No more ears ringing

: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
