how do I choose the right colour for soffits....

can some give me some ideas about a few thing on my house which is under construction. should I keep the window frames, soffits and eavestrough white or which colour would go with the stone and cedar siding. Also, if I should keep the fascia one size or make them different sizes based on the size of the gables. the original house was 120 years old and I am keeping the original fascia on some parts as the history of the house. Attached are the photos to the house.

Pretty home.

Not sure I would go with white.

Google around for a home visualizer software and you can plug and play on the colors. I would go with something more in the earth-tones.

For ideas on paint choices on your exterior colors, go to a real paint store with your pictures they would have a interior/exterior designer which will give you free advice in color selection.

Are you doing the siding yourself?

Go with a white or cream color.

A light yellow would blend nicely with that siding....

The lighter the color, the easier it is to see dirt....but the better it reflects light. The advantage of seeing dirt is that you know it's time to clean it.....

And, yes....that is a neat looking house....

That was my first thought too.

Doesn’t look like a pro install to me. The soffit should already be installed so the rock and siding can terminate into it.

Looking at the condition of the house wrap you’ll never be able to achieve the minimum overlaps. Flashing??? So many things wrong in the picture...What a shame. Looks like the windows were installed before the sheathing, hard to tell, hope I'm wrong.

Other than that I think white would look fine.
