Default how to determine bearing walls

I just started work on a new house and want to change the layout of the wall. I think that this wall is a load bearing wall, but am not really sure how to tell if it is load bearing or not, any help would be appreciated. Is it all walls that run perpendicular to ceiling joists are load bearing?

Not 100% sure but two things I have noticed...yes, perpendicular to joists and/or double top plate.
