How to Arrange this Kitchen?

I am try to decide on what to do with a kitchen remodel. I can pretty much put anything anywhere I want. I would prefer to leave the sink where it is, to avoid having to run too much new plumbing. Here a couple of ideas I had, that I made on google sketch up. Any help is appreciated!

I prefer layout #2, but add a corner cabinet.

Layout #1 you have a potential problem of the fridge door hitting the wall.

I'd take layout #2 and put the fridge where the upper cabinets are. Whatever you do, you definitely want to have counter space next to the fridge, at least on one side.

Are you putting a table in the middle of that room or something?

If the room that is below the picture is a living room I would put a half wall with a peninsula at cabinet height where the wall the refrigerator is at in the #2 kitchen, and put the kitchen where the upper cabinets are below the kitchen sink. This would really have a nice effect of creating a more open atmosphere, not having a wall cutting of your view.

It looks to me, because of all the windows on the right side that you might be in some need of cabinet space. I would consider a pantry cabinet on the opposite wall of the kitchen, along with a small countertop.

And in response to those saying to put a corner cabinet in, I think that is out of the question because of the window, but it would have been a good idea.

How to Arrange this Kitchen?

Well, I like the corner cabinet idea(base cabinet as I took it). But, I think I have decided to put the fridge where the upper cabinets are and maybe get rid of the window farthest from the sink and put upper cabinets there also. I am going to be replacing all of the windows and adding vinyl siding, so I can pretty much do as I please with the windows.

pyper- I bought the house to fix up, so I am not going to put a table in there. I am not sure what the best use of the rest of the space would be. Any suggestions?

Ok, I am thinking something like this. It just seems like there is too much open space. Is it good to have that much open spen space in a kitchen?

giving us some dimensions would help with the decision making process. If your kitchen is a good size I would consider installing an island, even if you did one that was movable might be something to consider.

If there is enough space for a small table, YES! Having an "eat-in kitchen" is a plus when selling or renting.

It will be right at 15' x 15' from the edge of the cabinets(not the walls).

I have thought about an island, but I want to do this as inexpensively as possible, since I will be trying to sell it.

Where the fridge is in the latest drawing is pretty good. It is recommended to have counter space on one side if not both sides of the fridge.
