High humidity for how long?????

I got a concrete floor poured in my crawl space 2 weeks ago and I have installed a 65 pint dehumidifier to keep down the humidity. I have it set at 45% and the unit runs non stop since it says that it is 55% down there. Is it safe to assume that the reason that is can't get lower than 55% is due to the concrete. The unit is rated for 2500ft2 in wet conditions so this thing should be able to keep up, right?

Why would you need to go lower than 55% in a crawl space? You are well under the level where any kind of mold will grow and you will probably never reach a level lower than the outside humidity.

High humidity for how long?????

Thanks. I was setting at 45% just to be safe. Turns out that I think that the sensor on the dehumidifier is bad. I put a digital and dial meter down there and it turns out that is it is less humid than the dehumidifier says. The DH will say 65% and I go check on it 30 minutes later and it will say 45 or 50 and then 65 again. I am returning and getting a new one.
