Help basement step layout! Please!

I am remodeling my basement and my steps are super steep. This problem is holding my remodel up now.I live in a modular home on a basement. The problem is when you get almost to the bottom of the steps you run into the floor joists then you go down a step and run into the metal frame. I have attached a quick drawling with all my measurements so maybe some one can help me out with length, step height so i can avoid hitting both beams. I have plent of room for overall length. I already had a contractor look at them and tell me im pretty much stuck. Please Help!!! Thanks.

Relocating the stairs may be your only option. Some place you could install them at a right angle to the way they are now may work.
