header size


I want to add a 10 ft opening to the wall between my living room and family room. The wall is load bearing. What size header should I use?(single story)

header size


I've always used LVL's & had a lumber yard size them for the opening
For a 13' opening I had to use (2) 14" LVL's
Header is sized based on your specific house & load
