Hanging cabinets on cinder block wall
One of the walls in our kitchen is an exterior wall constructed of cinder block. We are remodeling the kitchen and want to hang cabinets on this wall. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? One of the cabinets will be over a desk area that will hold all of my wife's cookbooks. I expect the load on this cabinet to be very heavy. The wall currently has furring strips attached to it to hold the drywall.
Thx for any help. |

Hanging cabinets on cinder block wall
Fasten through the furring strips with TapCons. Make sure that they go into the concrete at least 1". A few of them will literally hold tons. Pullout and sheer strength are listed on the box.
