Granite Transformation Is Cracking

If any one can help that would be great. I have a customer with Granite Transformation and a wrapped 4" backsplash. I installed a tumbled marble backsplash over a year ago, and now I am being blammed for it being cracked just on the 4" backsplash. The crack is very obvious and is almost 4 feet long. I know it was not cracked when leaving the home, and I leave a 1/16 joint for caulking purposes. Does anyone have any ideas why this would happen.

Post a picture and edit the post, I have no idea what a, " 4" backsplash" is.
