Granite counter best practice or sham?

kdh1234 Newbie   Join Date: Aug 2009 Posts: 1	Granite counter best practice or sham? Our contractor sealed the granite with some residue from the white pen used to mark the layout still on the stone. Doesn't come off with any cleaner. They covered with a sharpie pen and more sealer. Is this common practice / long term solution or shoddy contractor?
