Glass side tub

So I came across this photo of a glass side tub. It got me to wondering about how you build something like that. What thickness of glass would be required, and how is it sealed? Another question is will those seals need maintenance or eventually fail? Anyone done a project of this sort or know anything about it? Pic might not be that great, sorry.
