Gel fireplace?

I've seen ads for a gel fireplace that you can stick anywhere. Anyone have experiences with them? I have a wood burning one that I want to do something with that will improve energy efficiency. I have no gas line.

Gel fireplace?

We put a wood burning insert in our old fireplace.
Even if we never light a fire it will eventually pay for itself since it basically plugged the huge heat sucking hole that was our old fireplace.
