Gas fireplace Removal Question

I'm facing the fireplace. I removed the old mantel and now the new stone veneer is thinner then the amount of space I have. The fireplace comes out to far so when I put the stone there is a lip around fireplace. Can I unscrew the fireplace from sub floor and push it back about 1/4"

Gas fireplace Removal Question

Post a picture.
1/4 is not much and should be fine to move it that small amount.
