Garage door help!!

Hi and thanks,

I have been searching for a garage door to solve our problem, we are in a unusual shaped house where one of the garage walls slants in towards the house therefore not allowing for traditional garage door tracks as they would penetrate the outer wall...

That leaves us 2 choices:

1. Roll up door
2. I saw a bifold like door at a restaurant that, instead of folding sideways like a closet, it collapsed/folded upwards with only vertical tracks.. took up very little space..(think traditional door without tracks, each section folds up underneath the previous)

We are remodeling and the previous owners turned the 16 foot opening into a 12 foot opening which allowed for the tracks on the ceiling .. we would like to move ti back to 16 feet..

So the million dollar question is... does anyone know who makes a vertical bifold door or what they are called ..?

I can not find anything and the restaurant I saw them at had no clue....

Thanks,

Garage door help!!

Post a picture of the house.
Any over head door company can supply and install a commercial roll up door.
Not a great look on a nice home but it can be done.

Garage door help!!

Can post a pic tomorrow but someone referred me to this one which is the style we are looking for although I have NO clue what they cost ...

Renlita Sovereign

Again, a rollup door would work but that is not what we are looking for in terms of style...

Thanks Joe.

Garage door help!!

This is what I was looking for ..
Now wondering who the competitive alternatives might ..

http://www.renlitadoors.com/sovereign/

each section just folds up onto the other so it takes the same space as a rollup/storage unit type door but you can use sections like a traditional door.

For reference .. here is why nothing else will work .. this is a cut from our plans .. you can see the outer side wall on the right is not at a right angle w the front wall so tracks can not fit, they would literally go through the garage wall to the outside... the 4 with the circle around it is the garage door. This home was originally built with a roll up/coil door which we want to replace
