Framing my basement walls??? HELP ME!!

I'm trying my hand at framing walls in my unfinished basement. The propblem that I cannot seem to find an answer for is how to frame (create) the walls around all of the lower hanging pipes and wires. Not everything is tucked up nicley.

Can someone please give me some advice on a best way to create these walls around these low hanging items? I plan on getting a drop ceiling at the end to cover the sight but man oh man am I lost as to how to build these walls.

CAN YOU PLEASE HELP A FIRST TIMER OUT?

What is your meas. crete to joists? To the lowest obstacle that would dictate a finished ceiling height. Any water problems? ever?. Are you going to need to meet an egress requirement? If you just want a simple way to make that basement ceiling look half decent you could paint everything black to make it all blend (if head room is going to be a problem with a drop ceiling).

you want to have as long a wall plate as possible for all walls and that may require blocking that is hanging/attached from the floor joists that allows the wall plate to be below the pipes and what not and still attach strongly to the floor joists above. you can also build soffits to go around the pipes after the walls are built. a pic of your trouble areas will result in more accurate advice from us...

I'd store the kayaks somewhere else rather than box them in... the one joist with the bottom notch is compromised. Remember to leave access to the plumbing waste clean-outs. Check with local AHJ, I doubt you can leave light-frame wood exposed, at least not per minimum building code for safety. Draw it out on paper for a better idea, with the elevations shown; gives you some planning.

the most simple thing is to walk around with a tape measure and measure to find the lowest spot from the floor up to where the lowest pipe is. Determine if that can be your ceiling height and if so,make it the ceiling height.
