Finishing my Basement

I would go with the self leveling cement and don't, under any circumstances, think about digging out the basement to get more headroom. We priced it in one house and it is astronomical....be satisfied with a low ceiling extension of your house for as long as it works, but set aside money for buying a bigger house if you think you'll want one later. You'll never get that money back if you dig it out.
